Dr Reddy’s COVID Drug Avigan Approved by DCGI

Dr Reddy’s drug Avigan has been approved by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) for treating COVID-19 (COVID-19) patients who are mild to moderately contaminated. India’s leading pharmaceutical firm, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, today announced the arrival on the Avigan 200 mg tablet market of the generic version of Favipiravir, a medication used to treat coronavirus patients. Dr Reddy’s said he had launched a free home delivery service in 42 cities across the country, and a helpline centre was created 1800-267-0810 / www.readytofightcovid.in. This is scheduled from 9 am till 9 pm. This service will run Monday through Saturday. Dr Reddy’s Avigan comes in a complete 122 tablet medical pack with a two-year shelf life. A generic version of the antiviral drug favipiravir for the treatment of Kovid-19 has already been launched by top pharmaceutical manufacturers including Lupine, Glenmark and Sun Pharma.
