Samsung Galaxy Z Flip was unveiled Tuesday in San Francisco at the launch event of the company’s Galaxy S20 flagship series. The second foldable smartphone by the South Korean giant, the Galaxy Z Flip uses Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) on what the company calls an Infinity Flex panel. The organization also says it will make YouTube Premium available to customers. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip also offers a’ Flex mode,’ something that the company worked to achieve with Google–offering certain devices a special split-screen look when the monitor is partially folded up. It will be made available only in small quantities, in selected markets.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Price
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip priced at $1.380 (approximately Rs 98,400). The firm says it will go on sale in limited quantities, starting from February 14 itself in select markets. Such limited markets include the US and South Korea. It is first available in Mirror Black and Mirror Purple, before available in Mirror Gold, says Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip measures 87.4×73.6×17.33 mm when folded, and when unfolded, 167.3×73.6×7.2 mm. Weighing 183 grams. The smartphone has a single, mono-speaker. It sports a fast-charging 3,300 mAh battery.
All About the ‘Fold’
Also, Galaxy Z Flip features a Flex mode UI, developed in collaboration with Google. The’ Hideaway Hinge ‘ supports this, which also helps users to keep the Galaxy Z Flip open at multiple angles. So, the hinge has a’ dual CAM system’ and features’ sweeper’ engineering made of nylon fibres that repel dirt and dust. Also, the hinges and monitors rate 200,000 times to be able to open and close.
The Flex mode on the Galaxy Z Flip breaks the main foldable monitor into ‘ two 4-inch displays ‘-watching a YouTube video in the top half while commenting or searching other videos in the bottom half is an example of its potential applications.
Users can also take selfies by placing the partially folded Galaxy Z Flip on a table. Also, Notifications to show on the 1.1-inch cover panel. Multi-Active Window is something similar to Flex mode, allowing users to drag and drop apps to the main display’s different halves, using two apps at once.
